Bride Wedding Speech Made Easy

Monday, October 26th, 2009

A wedding is the most significant time of our lives. It’s the best and most awaited moment of you and your husband who are meant to be together forever! And a bride wedding speech is a very important part of the entire wedding ceremony.

Although a bride speech is optional, weddings don’t have to be traditional. In most cases, we don’t give speeches; it’s like the most awaited part of our lives that all we do is listening to what our loved ones have to say. Anyway, I think what makes a wedding very special is how it’s different from the others.

Now, are you thinking of coming up with a stirring bride wedding speech? Just a concise one can stir the whole wedding atmosphere with lasting impression and lifetime memories. Here are 6 tips that helped me to do just that.

1. The purpose of your speech is mainly to show honor and give gratitude. An average speech should last 5 minutes, but a bride wedding speech can last as long as 20 minutes (mine was 15). Because it is your day, everybody is eager to hear how you feel and what you have to say. Tomorrow you’ll start living a life you’ve never lived before.

2. For weddings, emotions play a huge role. The more emotional your speech is, the better it will be appreciated.

3. Your parents are likely to be sentimental. So be sure to say the best things to them and pick the best moment of your life with them that you never forget where you appreciate them the most.

4. For your siblings, thank them for the good times and how they’ve helped you become the person you are now.

5. For your friends, spice it up with humor; it’s the fun memories that count more for them.

6. And finally, for your husband, tell him why you believe you two are meant for each other. :)

And that’s it. Make it simple but memorable, sweet and funny! Consider these points and your bride wedding speech will bring together animated wedding toasts afterwards (just like I did), and will stay in the minds of all those special people who join you in your special day.
